We could argue that having a job helps give us some purpose, and, for most people, it is the only way they are going to earn enough money to be able to exist sort of comfortably. For some, this makes it worth it that we live in a culture that seems to prioritize work at every turn. This ignores the fact that it is possible to find much deeper fulfillment in things like hobbies, family, and even just hanging out with friends. More often than not, employees feel like their role is just an annoyance that helps to facilitate these other things.
This is never more apparent than when we take a look at the content of work memes. There are plenty of disgruntled workers out there, and they love to turn this frustration into silly humor. It is one of the better ways to procrastinate at work.
